Hi, sorry for the uninformed question: I am looking for a way to display a community collection on a website. Something like a widget? Does something like that exist?
Alex Ioannidis
@slint
Unfortunately, we don't have any embeddable widget for displaying community records
@dfdan A bit late I guess, but here it goes: the Content-Type is text/plain for some types of files because of security reasons
Wilfrid Utz
@fridlutz
@slint thanks! Will try to come up with something using the ReST API and share with you
Kai Woerner
@Herrner
@fridlutz I guess the easiest way is to take the xsl stylesheet that formats the OAI output for a community and modify that somehow.
Wilfrid Utz
@fridlutz
@Herrner Great! This is a perfect starting point!
Alex Ioannidis
@slint
You can also try with the REST API responses for a community search query, i.e. https://zenodo.org/api/records/?communities=cernopenlab

Hi there, I am trying to get a Zenodo DOI, and I ran into an "errors": "Unknown error occured." output

Alex Ioannidis
@slint
Is this a GitHub release?
Matt McCormick
@thewtex
Yes
Alex Ioannidis
@slint
@thewtex Should be good now, I restarted the release processing. Here's the registered DOI for the record: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.3603359
Matt McCormick
@thewtex
@slint thank you so much! You rock.
Alex Ioannidis
@slint
Thanks for using Zenodo, happy to help :)

I am new to Zenodo, I want to remove the "sign up" button from the header, what is the best way to do so? pls, help me !!!
Alex Ioannidis
@slint
You can set SECURITY_REGISTERABLE = False in your config
which completely removes the sign-up feature
if you want to just remove the button, you have to override the header_login via the THEME_HEADER_LOGIN_TEMPLATE variable
Feysal Mama
@feysalmam_gitlab
ok thank you @slint, 100% succeeded the target.

Hello, i have two separately installed zenodo repositories and i want each repository community harvest another one, so how can i configure to harvest metadata and contents between two zenodo repository communities via OAI-PMH?
Lars Holm Nielsen
@lnielsen
There’s no support for harvesting in Zenodo……Zenodo (the service) on purpose do not want to harvest anything, because it opens a lot of problems related to deduplication etc
You can try installing https://github.com/inveniosoftware/invenio-oaiharvester but I’m not sure if anyone is actually using the module, or if it works…..
Kai Woerner
@Herrner
where do zenodos citation formats come from?
Lars Holm Nielsen
@lnielsen
It’s from Citation Style Langugae……you generate a CSL json and then apply a style on it to format a text string
Kai Woerner
@Herrner
Thanks!

Hi! Is there a documentation page on how to use .zenodo.json files when using Zenodo with GitHub?

Lars Holm Nielsen
@lnielsen
only things accepted in the zenodo community appear on the frontpage
Lordjette Leigh Lecaros
@lordjette
hello @lnielsen , is this means only accepted/published can be seen in the frontpage? I have published a journal doc in zenodo community. but, it can't be seen in recent upload frontpage. see images:

Deleting records and files through the api is only allowed for unpublished depositions (so say the docs) - is there any other way to delete published records and their files programatically (for an admin user)?
<context>we have a sandbox(staging machine that we would like to "clean up" from time to time - so no DOI harm done.</context>
Lordjette Leigh Lecaros
@lordjette
Hello, I have found there is no "stats":{} shows in page after published and accept record in a community. I tried to run celery along zenodo run - h 1.2.3.4
Lordjette Leigh Lecaros
@lordjette
I tried 3 different users to download and view record but it does not appear in page.

Hi Folks - talked to Lars last week - Graeme from Diamond Light Source who is working on a tool to allow folks to automatically upload COVID-19 related data sets - for small files works fine using the new stream-type API, but for larger files I am getting network errors sometimes - ``` File "/dls/science/groups/scisoft/DIALS/CD/nightly/dials-dev20200323/conda_base/lib/python3.6/site-packages/requests/api.py", line 134, in put

Hi @graeme-winter
Does it happen immediately
?
or
Graeme Winter
@graeme-winter
No, after quite a while - makes me think a lot of the data has been uploaded
I acknowledge that this is quite a lot of data to HTTP PUT
Lars Holm Nielsen
@lnielsen
can you provide me with one of the following: user-agent string, bucket id and filename (e.g. file upload url) or ip address
