try removing the deinterlace, normally that takes huge amounts of cpu power depending on the filter used

1 - Do you know how to show picons in TVHClient?
2 - How to load EPG from IPTV list to Apple TV?

@zipleen It's HEVC H.265 1920 x 1080p (5300 kpbs 50fps) DVB-T2 in Czech republic. Stream in TVheadend is set as "pass". I found now in the technical specifications of my Apple TV 4th gen that it only supports HEVC H.265 SDR up to 1080p at 30 frames per second. So I assume it just can't handle more frames per second.. Do you think upgrade to ATV 4k will solve this?

That's a very good catch. Can you record a minute of video and send it to me? I should be able to reproduce that because I have both Apple TV and the 4k version. I'll then give you the answer if it would

on the apple tv 4k the recording works perfectly fine.
however on the apple tv 4 it is indeed very choppy, like it can’t keep up reproducing the content. you’re definitly right, the H265 software decoding is too much for the apple tv 4 to keep up!

yes... yesterday i was watching a moivie sample in H.265 4k 60fps and played flawlessly
